Kwanieze John is well-known for her infectious enthusiasm and positivity, especially when introducing the game of Rugby to groups. Her high energy has motivated children and adults alike, across the RAN region and at training sessions around the world. “Kwanieze always brought her A-game to field sessions,” said Scott Harland, RAN Regional Training Manager. “She has a real talent in energizing even the most reluctant youngster. You know Kwanieze is involved when you hear the noise level and laughter.”In her role as RAN’s Get Into Rugby Program Manager, Kwanieze has helped to bring the sport of rugby to many new communities and countries, including St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti and Belize. Of particular note, she helped to ensure that programs included opportunities for young girls to play, and there are many more girls and women playing rugby today partially because of Kwanieze’s efforts.RAN would like to thank Kwanieze for her work developing and implementing the World Rugby Get Into Rugby program across the region, and her efforts to nurture new rugby programs in several countries. We wish her the very best in her future endeavours, especially the ones related to rugby.
