Rugby Americas North (RAN) is seeking to hire a Competitions Manager (CM). This role is a part-time position. The CM will assist in the organization of competitions, including assistance with the delivery of player welfare and medical services. The role is part time, throughout the year, with a heavier work load leading up to and during RAN's Competitions. The Competitions Manager will report directly to RAN General Manager (GM).
Job Description:
• Coordinate and support RAN's GM and Competitions Committee on the organization and delivery of RAN competitions
• Assist competition host Unions in the delivery of RAN competitions and Individuals Test Matches, where necessary
• Assist in generating and revising RAN's competitions calendar and competitions model
• Assist in the review and updates of RANs competitions documents, including the Terms of Participation, 'Bid to Host' document, competition budgets, calendar of events, competition formats,and results template
• In conjunction with RAN's GM, Officiating, Disciplinary and Player Welfare Committees arrange
suitable appointments of personnel to RAN's Competitions and Individual Test Matches including
the organization of flights and hotel reservations
• Prepare recommendations and work within approved budgets for assigned projects
• Gather feedback and prepare post competition surveys and reports as requested
• Assist in the implementation of RAN's (competitions) Strategic Plan
• Work with RAN's Player Welfare Working Group in ensuring that all medical related services
and protocols, leading up to and during RAN competitions and Individual test matches are adhered to and delivered

• Willing and able to travel as required to visit Unions and attend events

• Demonstrates a high level of tact, diplomacy and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience of player welfare and medical as it relates to rugby
