Camaraderie for Life is a history of rugby in Trinidad and Tobago - from the introduction of the sport at Queen’s Royal College in 1870, through the long-running Macregor Cup rivalry between Trinidad and Guiana, to the birth (and passing) of the Caribbean’s premier Rugby-7s tournament.
In a light, informative style, it highlights the pioneers and professional players, the ebb and flow of the amateur leagues, and the expansion of rugby into communities beyond the expatriate enclave. Complemented by illustrations and photography, it endeavours to distil 150 years of the sport into 200 pages of personalities and highlights.
It has drawn together widely dispersed records in what will surely be seen as an essential addition to the history of Caribbean rugby.
